The Remodeling Sales Survey

Remodelers all want to know how their peers and competitors handle sales. Chances are, you'd like to improve your company's sales success, too. Take a few minutes to complete this survey, and we'll send you a complete set of results within two weeks. We'll also follow up with a summary of results in future issues of d5R -- and we'll use your responses to develop helpful sales stories going forward.

Want to weigh in but don't want to be quoted? Just let us know in the final question.

Results to come in d5R before the holiday break.

Have you completed the d5R "holiday plans" survey?

yes, Greg. It took a bit, like getting the most comfortable setting on a thermostat in a new home. Now the plan is to maintain the GP, increase the volume while ONLY adding OH to manage the growth.

Thanks Neil,
So they lowered their OH and GP% but maintained the same net profit percentage? If so, amen! Only thing better would be to lower OH, maintain GP%, and increase NP.

Greg, 2 of my NJ remodelers lowered their overhead and D+B GP% three years ago but have have held steady since.

I'd be curious to see: Of the 100% who have a "set pricing and markup structure", how many have changed it (i.e. discounted) to get a job or jobs during the "recession"? How many have held their ground throughout?
